Design

The Valentines Heart pattern is a really simple heart pattern to crochet, it is crocheted flat by crocheting two hearts and then seamed together with some fiberfill/toy stuffing in the middle and it’s really that easy! The stitches used in this crochet project are the chain stitch, sc stitch and the sc2tog, i must let you know though i did not use the standard sc stitch i used the one that a lot of people use for amigurumi and i done this because i find with the normal sc stitch you get little holes so you would be able to see the fiberfill where as with the other one you don’t get the small holes and it’s a tighter stitch which i like. Find the sc stitch i used here.

Here are some common questions about this pattern to help you along with making these cute hearts:

What Size Are The Hearts?

These are 3.5 inches (approx) at the widest point which is on row 16 and they are 4 inches in length (approx).

Can I Make The Hearts Bigger?

Yes, you can use thicker yarn like chunky or even super chunky and just follow the same pattern.

Is A Chart Available For This Pattern?

No. Only written instructions, line by line.

Do I Need To Block My Hearts?

For this crochet pattern you don’t need to block your hearts.

What Yarn Did You Use?

For these hearts i used the RicoRumi which is such a dream to work with especially for a cotton yarn, it comes in some really lovely colors which are so modern and perfect for crochet projects for around the home. This yarn is really soft for a cotton yarn which i love and it’s really affordable too.
